Texas State FCCLA Conference and competition was held in Dallas on April 4-6 2019. There were 4,320 students, advisors, and guests in attendance.

Morton High School FCCLA Chapter had four students competing in Family Consumer Science Assessments (FCSA). Haili Smit-Morin, Kami Rodriguez, and Elena Alvarado all earned a gold medal and Makayla Rodriquez earned a silver medal in this state level event.

Yadira Martinez and Mikayla Morin teamed up and competed in Illustrated Talk STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Event. This team earned first place in the state and qualified to compete at National Leadership Meeting and Competition in Anaheim CA this summer from June 30-July 4.

In addition to competition students participated in leadership workshops, attended general sessions, served as voting delegate, and met students coming from all over Texas.
