The first week of November was a busy one at Morton High School.

The week of November 1 – 5 was the senior week where the senior class is honored with a variety of activities all week, culminating in the senior football game on Friday night.

During the week seniors heard a presentation from Herff-Jones on ordering their caps and gowns for graduation, senior lockers were decorated, and the postponed homecoming bonfire on Thursday night and parade on Friday afternoon were held.  Seniors also observed “bring anything but a backpack” day.

Following the parade on Friday, the school participated in the senior blackout pep rally in which the senior slide show created by Mrs. Prieto was presented to the class and the school.  At the pep rally, seniors handed down special possessions to their younger siblings as their legacy.  The pep rally even featured a dance routine by Coach Williams.

That evening, the Indians faced Iraan and won the final game of the season, 42-6.  The following afternoon, basketball season officially kicked off with the Maidens winning their opener against Dawson, 57-6.
