Twelve Morton Band students attended UIL Solo and Ensemble competition before spring break.

This year’s competition was held differently due to COVID restrictions, but groups were still allowed to perform in person when they could. Two trios received a rating of 2 (excellent). The judge provided positive feedback to all groups and students celebrated afterward.

Morton had one trio who performed virtually to avoid conflict with another school activity. Students who participated in this event were 8th graders Bianca Esquivel, AJ Mendoza, Eli Boleyn, and Faith Zapata, 9th grader Mallory De La Cruz, 10th graders Jose Gutierrez, Lali Navarrette, and Auzrie Washington, 11th graders Karina Lujan and Kami Rodriguez and Seniors Jackson Greener and Xander Markson.
