National Honor Society new inductees for 2020

Russell Hill, For The Tribe

The Morton National Honor Society inducted nine new members into the organization on December 16.  This was also the inaugural event for the newly completed multipurpose room in the secondary school building, formerly the old practice gym.

Inducted into the Society were seniors Andrew George, Kleber Richardson, Valeria Vigil, and juniors Erika Roberts, Elena Alvarado, Marcela Rodriguez, Makayla Rodriguez, Ethan Boggs, and Karina Lujan.

Previous members were seniors Jackson Greener, Frankie Rodriquez, Daniella Martinez, Jesus Juarez, Cheyenne Barnes, and Isiah Cisneros, bringing the total membership for 2020 to 15 students.

In order to qualify for membership, students must have a 3.0 average, be of good character, display good citizenship and leadership skills. They must participate in two major volunteer opportunities. This year the students have collected socks for Caleb’s Closet and assisted with the Morton Food Drive during the holidays.
